It’s all change at the top at SNIPEF
The Scottish and Northern Ireland Plumbing Employers Association has appointed a new president and chief executive.
Brian Warrender, of the Angus and Kincardine Master Plumber’s Association, was elected president at SNIPEF’s AGM last month.

Warrender, who runs Inverberbie firm B&B Warrender, is the 94th President of SNIPEF.He said: “I have a long association with SNIPEF and am very pleased to fulfil the role of National President. This year represents a time of transition for SNIPEF, with a new Chief Executive at the helm. I am keen to work with her and hope to be able to influence our strategy going forward; I have plenty thoughts where both my and the Federation’s priorities should lie. We have a good opportunity to try and influence national policy so that it reflects the needs of our membership. I look forward to playing my part in this.”
Burgon worked for SNIPEF for 38 years. He joined the Federation as Assistant Industrial Relations Officer in 1978 following his graduation from Heriot Watt University. He went on to become Director and Secretary in 1988 and Chief Executive in 2011.
Hodgson, a chartered accountant , joined SNIPEF in 1995 as finance and administration manager.
She said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as Chief Executive and am determined to strengthen and build upon SNIPEF’s reputation, working with members to address the challenges currently facing this industry.”
